Boston-based architect James Cullion and interior designer Eileen Marcuvitz were appointed to build and decorate this house on a two-acre lot overlooking the Newport, Rhode Island’s Sakonnet River. While the original house had to be pulled down, the trees that surrounded it were preserved, especially the massive oak tree, this way the house seems to have been standing here for years.
