Dream House 2011

Dream House 2011

There are many houses facing the sea now and the architects offer more and more inspiring ideas for building them. This exciting residence called Dakar Sow House is located on a cliff just above the immense stretch of water. The interior is minimalist; the color scheme is white, black, grey and natural wood. As it’s located very close to the sea, some details also tell us of it: polls, installations, pictures, the spiral stairs that reminds of a seashell and the roof that reminds of surfing. Big windows were made to maximize the natural light and the views of the sea. Besides all the necessary rooms there is also an underground cinema that was made of an old World War Two bunker. The house is very practical and dynamic as the owners are a young family.
