Hello, sweets. Hope you are enjoying this beautiful Saturday. Today I'd like to show you this farmhouse in Montpellier, a city in the south of France. It is near the village of Saint-Martial, in the Cevennes Gard. With stunning views, lots of stone and exposed beams, it takes us back in time.

Restored House in France
This rustic house in France had been abandoned for more than 30 years. It was renovated preserving its original structure. Beams and natural wood in every room. Warm and inviting.
In the old barn, the large door was replaced with a steel double swing door with arched transom and fixed side windows, custom made by a craftsman locksmith. It provides access to the indoor pool. Unfortunately there wasn't a picture of the indoor pool.
It feels as if I could smell freshly baked bread just by looking at this kitchen.
I think I would need a little more privacy here, maybe with a screen or curtain.

It’s a 19th century, freestanding stone house in Lherm – a small, medieval village surrounded by forest in the Lot valley region in France’s southwest. The village is surrounded by forest and walking tracks. Centrally heated throughout, the house includes a sunny, south-facing kitchen; an open-space living room (with fireplace) and dining room opening on to a terrace that spans the front of the house; two bathrooms, four generously proportioned sunny bedrooms and a large open-space light-filled attic. An interior well combines with the town’s water system to provide water to the house (the system can be switched from town to well water with the flick of a switch).

My internet connection seems to be behaving this morning, so I'm happy to take you to France today.
While renovating this house in Lherm, in France's Lot valley region, Susan Fraser and Jean-Pierre Grousset took pains in preserving its 19th century style, but managed to brighten up the building's once dark interiors.

Guest House in France
We are back in Peru after our lovely winter holidays in Argentina. I thought it was going to be freezing cold but we had remarkably good weather.
Lets go on another home tour.
It took six years to restore this guest house called Un Coeur très Nature, and located in the valley of Vidourle, in southern France.
